I’m a lifelong Hoosier, history enthusiast, literature lover, and firm believer that the best things usually come with a good story.
I studied English at Franklin College, where I got to spend an unreasonable amount of time reading, writing, and talking about books, which suited me just fine. My love of literature, history, storytelling, and all things a little nerdy has stuck with me ever since and finds its way into a lot of what I create.
These days, I live with my spouse in rural Indiana, along with our dog, Tonks, who contributes mostly moral support and dog hair.
After spending the last several years in busy office jobs, I found myself wanting a creative outlet and a chance to make things simply because I enjoyed making them. Green World Goods grew from that idea. It’s a little corner of the world where I can turn the books, stories, history, jokes, and general nerdery I love into things you can stick on a water bottle, hang from your keys, stitch on your wall, wear, or give to someone who gets the joke.
I also love helping bring other people’s ideas to life. Some of my favorite projects start with someone saying, “Okay, I have a weird idea…” If there’s a sticker you’ve been imagining, a cross-stitch you can’t find anywhere, a shirt you want made, or something else you’d love to see become a real thing, I’d be happy to hear about it. Just click the Special Requests button at the top of the page and tell me what you have in mind.
Mostly, I’m making things that make me smile, and hopefully you’ll find something here that makes you smile, too.
Welcome to my little Green World.
Hi, I’m Morgan!
Part of it is simple. I love nature, and living in rural Indiana means I’m surrounded by plenty of fields, woods, gardens, and changing seasons.
But, naturally, there’s a literary reason too.
The “green world” is a concept often associated with Shakespeare’s comedies. It’s a place outside the ordinary world where characters escape the rules and expectations of everyday life. Think of the Forest of Arden in As You Like It or the enchanted woods in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The green world is a place for imagination, mischief, transformation, and figuring things out before eventually returning to the real world a little different than before.
That idea felt pretty fitting for what I wanted this shop to be: a small creative escape from everyday life, filled with things inspired by stories, nature, humor, history, and whatever odd idea happens to catch my attention.
So, Why “Green World”
